Evelyn Ramsay

Evelyn has been an Artist and Quilter for 30 years. In 1999 she was nominated for the City & Guilds Medal of Excellence for her work in Part 1 of C&G in Patchwork and Quilting. 

In 2001 Evelyn gained her Part 2 of City & Guilds in Patchwork & Quilting together with a Stitched Textile Print Unit. She was also awarded two first places for her quilt "We Are All The Same Beneath The Skin" in the Great Northern Quilt Show at Harrogate the same year.

Evelyn gained three third places and a Judges Award in 2002 in the National Quilt Championships at Sandown for her quilt "Rio Star"; her "Memory Coat"; and her embroidery book "Inner Body". 

In 2004 her quilt "Poppy Fields of my Childhood" gained a second place at the Festival of Quilts, Birmingham in the 'Large Innovative Quilt' section.

She has had three solo exhibitions in Pittenweem and one at the Loch Lomond Quilt Show. She has participated in group exhibitions at the Loch Lomond Quilt Show, Delta Studios Larbert, the Little Gallery Milngavie, the Green Gallery Strathearn, and the McLean Gallery Greenock.

So far her Textile Artwork has sold at exhibitions in Edinburgh, Glasgow, and Stirling Also in Pittenweem and at exhibitions in Larbert.
